NCIS versus Soilbleed
A very, very rough version of a versus remix. I might have to give up on this idea because the tonalities are way too different.

Uhsmosis in rehearsal performing “Why Did You Do It” by Stretch
Martin asked that I give his band some constructive criticism, and help sculpt the band’s sound for their upcoming concert.
Recorded in a tiered lecture theatre with two microphones in an X-Y configuration.
I Like to Destillat
I don’t think it was a dream where I heard a versus remix of the VNV Nation remix of Das Ich’s Destillat against Reel 2 Real’s I Like to Move It, but I could not find it anywhere. Here is my take on the mix.
What If
Cover of the song by Emilie Autumn. Difficult to not start sounding like Tori Amos or Pachelbel’s Canon.
The Typography Blues (revisited)
Original Version
The Typography Blues
With apologies to George Gershwin: white man — particularly this one — can’t sing the blues.
With apologies to the listener: it’s rough and ready, words written and the four parts recorded in about an hour and a half. And I can’t sing the blues.
With apologies to Augustana; this comedy cover was put together in just four hours, so it’s a bit rough around the edges. But even I sound like Coldplay now.
As production and recording engineer for uncertain attribution I have the tricky task of bringing the most out of our musical creations in the studio. One key consideration when mixing a track is to determine how it will sound on a variety of audio hardware: hi-fis, in cars, headphones, ear-buds and so forth. But more importantly I feel that the mix should remain true to the artists’ original intentions and closely reflect the sound the writers’ minds when they first “heard” it.
This task is made even more difficult when one realises that uncertain attribution is a “virtual band”: we are in different cities and would rather spend time together creating new music rather than tweaking it. This is where Nicecast comes in.
I use Nicecast in conjunction with Audio Hijack to stream a high-quality MP3 of the Logic mixing session to band members and discuss the tweaks via instant message.
All in all, a slightly different use for Internet radio!
Black metal version of “Happy Birthday”.
Happy birthday, dude.
Excerpts from the piano Toccata by Khatchaturian used to test a microphone arrangement on my upright piano.
A few days ago Raven posted lyrical poetry titled Beneath an Empty Sky. This is the improvised “radio edit” of the song.
